This is the forst chance i've had to e-mail since sunday, as it has been a very hectic 44 hours...... Finally made it to Hong Kong after flight from Hanoi got delayed due to a storm that engulfed the airport and prevented from anything taking off!! Then had to change aircraft altogether but it was fine as had a nice welcome when I landed with a very nice car to take me to my hotel!! It is exactly like the picture here - such bright lights. I was like a rabbit in headlights! It is such a stark contrast to Hanoi - well to anything i've experienced in asia...

So here I am back in 'delightfull' noisy dirty Hanoi! The smell and pollution really hits you after being away from it. I thoroughly enjoyed Sapa - it was the perfect break with fresh mountain air, good food and good company - complete relaxation. Not up to much today - spot of shopping and mostly eating, drinking and reading in cafes as fly to Hong Kong tonight. Yep I'm back in lovely cool (and wet) Sapa. That probably doesn't sound very apealing to anyone back at home but it really is nice to get some fresh mountain air - particularly after being in Hanoi which is really dirty.
