Nomad Nads
Well, done a lot since our last postcard...you have to understand, there is absolutely no chance of finding the internet in the outback...it's hard enough to find people and a flushing toilet!! On day one we visited Rainbow Valley (pictured), The Olgas and watched sunset over Ayers Rock - spectacular.
Went back to camp and got our swags out for the night - yes, we were sleeping under the stars with only the snakes and spiders for company! We were very fortunate to have a really good group (a big hello to Kate (both of you!), Sarah, Carly, Hazel and Wymen). Had a good feed (as they say out here) and slept surprisingly well considering. Early start to watch sunrise over Uluru - again, very beautiful.
THEN I CLIMBED IT!! - that's Nadine, before you start worrying Dad!! (thank you Joseph and Calemb for your support). Truly amazing up there and a lot bigger than you think. Coming down was actually harder than going up - primarily because you could see how far you had to fall! Should add at this point that there are no safety ropes or points at which you can rest!
Back in Eldrunda, waiting to be picked up for next tour which drops us in Adelaide on Wednesday.
