Hello! Just got back from our Road Trip..... me, Vince and Paul hired a car and drove from the west coast to the east coast and stayed in New Plymouth so we could all climb Mt. Taranaki (pictured). The hostel we stayed at was owned by a cat loving fruit cake and was probably the most depressing place we have ever set foot in! We managed to go up the mountain but visiblility was very poor due to low cloud and so it was too dangerous to go right to the summit, and pretty pointless as you could barely see 20 feet infront of you! But it was fun all the same. Drove back yesterday (+ 2 hitchickers - very cozy!) and so am staying in wellington till wednesday. gonna take the ferry to the south island tomorrow then am heading for Abel Tasman for a serious trek! My legs are like tree trunks already with the amount of walking we are doing. hope all is well, nadine x
