Hey Peeps! Well i've had a pretty hectic couple of days; Headed North from Auckland to Pahia where i am staying at the moment, which is in the Bay of Islands. Did a bit of sight seeing and horse riding on the way up. It is really lovely here. Yesterday took a 12 hour road trip to Cape Reinga and did the whole Sandsurfing thing whcih was sooo much fun although the trek up the dune was bloody hard work!!!!! But it was worth it - even if it did take you 1/2 hour to get up it and about 20seconds to get down!!! We went up ninety mile beach and right up to the coast where the Tasman Sea meets the Pacific Ocean (did the look at me at the sign thing - see piccys) and then stopped for a swim and some lunch on the way back. I swam in an east, north and west coast sea all in the same day which was a bit surreal! The guide was really great fun and very knowledgeable. Learnt all about the Maori Culture and the personification of the Gods here (they are a very spiritual nation actually). The hostel i am in has a hot spa so needless to say we all piled in there last night and soaked away all our aching muscles. Met up with Lori (girl i met in Raro) and infact she managed to get into my room too so that is cool - its nice to see a familiar face and we spent much of today catching up on gossip since we saw each other last. Gonna stay here for a few more days before heading south probably to the hot pools of Rotorua. Gotto go as the BBQ will be ready about now (steak, sausages, salad, potato and beer etc etc for NZ$10!) - don't worry i am being well fed here! Hope you are all ok, take care xx
