O My God!! What a great couple of days!!!!
Drove to Akaroa with Vix, Hels, Felix and James yesterday and went swimming with the world's smallest and rarest dolphins - Hector dolphins. It was truly fantastic. There were several pods in the area and one particular group were very playful. The pacific ocean was bloody freezing but it didn't take long to forget about that!!! (the guide took a liking to Vix so she has some great piccys on her site www.offexploring.com/clarkev). The weather was fantastic and to top it all off we met up with Christian, Mara, Sandria and Joerg and headed to the beach. Spent the rest of the day chilling out on a secluded beach playing frisbee and having piggy back/wheel barrow races!!
Its our last day in NZ today so what better than to go flying?!?!
I ACTUALLY FLEW A PLANE TODAY!!!! Yes you read it right - i had my first flying lesson in Kaikoura. Truly breathtaking. The plane was a tiny 4 seater and it was a little like the Krypton Factor trying to level it out but loved every minute. Can see a career change on the cards........I'm still buzzing now!!! (piccys will be uploaded soon - can't do it here).
So fly to Melbourne tomorrow - can't wait!!!
SMILEY HAPPY PERSON :)
