So, in Canberra now but need to update you about the great ocean road.... First went to Lorne (nice little surf town) then onto Port Cambell and then onto Warrnambool. The hostel we stayed in there was really lovely (one of the best in Victoria apparently). Anyway the owner said that if we waded out to Middle Island and waited till after dark we would see some penguins. So we waded out (about knee high at 9pm) to the island. Waited till it got really dark (bout 10.15pm) and yes we did manage to see some baby penguins. However, on our way back the tide was significantly higher!!!! So there we are in the pitch black, waist high out in the bloody freezing pacific ocean in our knickers holding our clothes and bags high in the air. It was so much fun! Following day headed back to Melbourne (got hitch from a policeman!), visited Ramsey Street (of course), had our hair done by Natalie (thankyou babes x) and then...wait for it - we met STU, Boyd and Lynn Scully from Neighbours!!!!!! How sad am i?!??! I don't care - it was a really great night!!! Damn Stu is hot ;) and to top it all off - he is also a really nice guy!!! Had 9 hour bus journey yesterday from Melbourne to Canberra (yeh great fun NOT!) and so had a quiet one last night in the hostel bar watching live music. Having a chill out day today in Canberra - the weather is stunning and our hostel has a pool, spa, sauna and full gym (thankfully as i need to work of all that chocolate from the journey yesterday!). So hopefully gonna head to Sydney tomorrow though not quite sure how yet..... Take care xx
