Up late, although a sleep in was out of the question with the bogans next door. pancakes for breaky and Packed bags for Thursday island. A nice relaxing day today filled with a whole lot of nothing! Jumped on the ferry at 2:30 and we're on our way!! Got to Thursday island or TI as the locals say and were met by ben and sarah and Stella at the wharf. Had a quick tour of the island in the car and a beautiful local cray fish dinner, best dinner yet: yum yum and trip...

Today is the day we head to the tip! Slow steady start, past the 'croc tent' for some touristing and they had the cutest little piggy out the front... I want one!! Then up to the top. Started to look all rainforesty again. Drove past the dilapidated resort that is no more and along the beach to the point where my shoe got eaten by the bogyness. Got a few pictures at the top and wandered back to the cars for lunch and off to the caravan park in seasia for a relax ...

Off to the dreaded shotgun creek crossing today. The original, crazy person way is a sheer drop down into a squishy mud puddle so the easier cheats way it is. When I say easy, it was still tricky, see the photo. Lots of spectators and one crazy guy that went down a pretty steep one, his car was nearly vertical! Braved the palm creek crossing after watching one guy chew up all the Ruts, just to make it more challenging. Then Nichol was up (got a great video to put up when we get home) then down, then stuck, we all needed help through the two parts of the crossing and there was the expert recovery team ready and waiting.
