Headed off around nineish onto the main road for a bit then back onto the telegraph track to check out nolans crossing (we missed it before due to mechanical issues in the group). We watched a few guys to through and it looked ok but cars just kept on coming so we decided to bypass and push through to fruit bat falls for lunch and swim (not quite as nice as Elliot and twin) then onward to captain Billy's landing. So named after the aboriginal guide that lead some explorer to the spot where he then herded cows on top of the hill and the smashed up jetty you see in the picture is how he loaded them up to take to bamaga and seisia. She's a bit windy but we started the collection of shells to make little pearl dishes and Nichol attempted to fish but the hook and sinker got pulled off by a big snag fish! Had a few snackies as the sun went down, killed a wasp nest, saw some dive bombing bats and off to bed early.
