nichol had a chat to old mate from wadonga this morning and got the low down on a good place to stay just south of roma which will be good. decided that he wanted to go for a fish, apparently there are some fish in the river. so i made breaky and did the washing up while nichol lost some bait (at least we know there are fish in there). Got up a bit later, thank you thick curtains and Nichol mucked around with his maps after we woke up to the smell of fresh bread... Love the bread maker!! What to do what to do? Did a bit of stuff on resumes and chased up on a few leads we both had. Totally sold Nichol on NQ now! Wandered around the town for a bit whilst Nichol walked all the way to jaycar. Found this cool coffee place where you choose the bean from a wide variety of awesome looking coffees and they make it with that. Got up and moseyed on down to the 'koala resort' in the city, less of a resort and more of an upperclass backpackers but it's right across from where our friends are staying at the Novotel (which is actually a resort!). Pottered around a bit and went for a wander around the town, quite a nice place actually. Back to cairns today. Popped in at the shops around the place to get air filters, a bit of fresh veg and red 80 even got a bath, then back to the coconut. It really feels like we're winding down and ready to come home now. Not really looking forward to the drive home but hopefully there will be some interesting things along the way. Cooking in the kitchen listening to all the people (bogans) going up to the top and glad we went when we did!
