We left Phakding quite late today (we had quite an exciting night in case you missed that!).

nothing too exciting to report today except when we came to the last bridge that we had to cross to get to lukla. It turns out that there was a landslide that was caused by the earthquake and all of the afety rails were taken down and some of the base of the bridge. We then went on a little (and i use this term lightly) detour around up, up, up we went on a not so safe path, I think that we might have almost been better off going accross the bridge like the crazy porters! There was one part where we had to pass people and on one side there was a sheer drop (with a few little trees that i don't think would support a fall) and on the other side a muddy wall with nothing to hold onto. no-one can say that this hasn't been an exciting adventure!

Yay! we finally made it back. After a few tricky hills we finally made it to the finish point in Lukla. This is the last night that we have on the mountain and has it been a wild and exciting ride!!

when we arrived at the lodge tonight we were very excited because there were bathrooms and showers in our rooms! but wait... then we all discovered that they were cold and we still had to pay for the hot ones ... booooo! oh well what's one more night when you've already gone 13 without one.

it's a bitter sweet night as we learn more about our new friends including Nurbu and start to really relax but with tomorrow bringing home a little closer I can't help but be a little sad, oh well; c'est la vie!
