We landed in 'the deadliest airport in the world' not so scary if you ask me! it was a bit of an interesting flight though; chairs on the runway when we took off, people on the runway when we landed, Military people blowing whistles to get you into the terminal .. crazy start to the day already!

nothing too exciting happened on the way to Phakding but when we were waiting for dinner ...

We all sat there a little stunned for a few seconds after we saw the pole in the centre of the dining room swaying from side to side and when the guides jumped up to run out the door we all proceeded to do the same. I was shoved out by people trying to escape from behind the tables and ended up with only one shoe on going down a set of very ouchy stairs wondering where Kim and Pete had gone and Jordan yelling something at me!

All I have to say is that I was only worried about a landslide like we had seen earlier in the day which had killed an entire family. We later learnt that because of where the village was located on the mountain the likelyhood of this was remote but i can't say that I wasn't a little freaked out! note to self ... keep passport on me at all times!

interesting notes ... a fairly uneventful day with nice villages on the way. Our exciting (not) plane ride had kimmy swearing and a super long wait for lunch ended up with us wondering around a very small town with not alot to see but truely free range chickens and a few 'supermarkets'.
