26th feb. bit over cast today. Went down to check out some 'special offer' (time share presentation) and we got free 600 pesos credit to spend at the hotel and a free dodgy beach bag but we were all down for an hour but it was going to be an hour and a half so we ditched it. Got some breaky, Nichol had an omelet made in front of him which he had been banging on about, then headed to the pool for a swim. Trying to work out the whole towel reservation of chairs thing and seem to fail so we just ask the 'beach butler'. Wanted to do a Spanish lesson but no one seemed to be able to tell me where it was so no Spanish :(. Had a look at the cost of going to the island just off the coast and it seemed a bit expensive and touristy so we opted to visit the Mayan ruins somewhere else (they're supposed to be better anyway). Back for a bar tending course and another relax by the pool then off to lunch, disappointed in the tapas restaurant. Went to the street to buy a bag ... Most expensive third world bag ever: $15!! But the guy was entertaining so it was ok, poor Mexican he says, poor Mexican my eye I say charging $30 for a bag. It's expensive here he says, it's Mexico I said!! Anyway, he was a bit of fun. Then the little IT man had to come in and we got our own personal wifi router for the room, yay! Went to a cool bar tending class today, didn't really get to make the drinks but the guy made this cool jelly shot that looked like a bubble, have to give that one a go at home! Started to rain so the evenings entertainment gets moved inside I guess which is a little less exciting. It's supposed to rain for the next couple of days actually which is a bit gay :(. Went to a super fancy place for dinner which was really nice then Off to bed
