24th feb. Went on a mission to find a golf cart that was reasonably priced to cruise around on today but no one would budge on price, little surprised at the lack of bargaining here. Anyway we got a 450 peso one through the hostel and we were on our way by 10:30. First stop tortuga (turtles)! There is a sea turtle farm, if was pretty cool. Lots of different types and sizes and only $2.50ish admission. Next stop the ruins. Saw this cool zip line thingo Over the water but it was too expensive and we had other things to see. The ruins weren't really anything special... Lonely planet says they were better before the hurricane in 2005 so we didn't pay to visit them, just looked from a distance. Then to lunch at 'the joint' which was a reggae bar and kinda cool hiding in the 'jungle' drive past the police station that we had visited the day before and stopped for some enchiladas (I think) from this lady on the side of the road. It was one of those things where we didn't understand each other but both walked away happy wondering what had happened, Spanish is hard! A bit more cruising around and bought an awesome shell, hope customs let me take it home!
