28th feb. leaving the life of luxury for a bus to cancun this morning, it was nice not having to worry about carrying money and doing nothing at all but in think that after a couple of days I'm ready to see something exciting again. Caught the bus after a huge breakfast to tide us over for lunch as well. Decided to stay near the downtown area of cancun as opposed to the more touristy hotel district. Went to find a tour for coba for tomorrow which is going to be quite expensive but after visiting a few places it seems to be the going rate. Headed down to a local shopping spot called market 23. Had this cool shop with all these mexicany stuff whole sale. Moved on an saw some dodgy food places (not sure that I want to risk that one today) and some other random stores. The one in the picture is one of many party stores but this one had the bet piñatas!! Cancun has a little but more of a Mexican feel and hopefully we will see more after visiting the Mayan village, temples and caves. Raining all afternoon and we got so wet when the rain decided to go from 'chippy chippy' to pissing down so we just tried to stay dry and hid in our room.
