Much more civilised time of the morning to rise today, although Nichol was a little hot without the air con last night. After a delicious breakfast of fruit and a banana pancake and omelette for Nichol we wandered over to the homewares section of the country. After a big spill on the crappy pavement had me looking like a school kid again with bruises and grazes (broke my new $3 bangle from kintamai too) we found the homewares - I seriously think that the things in the stores here will be featured in the coming months at Harvey's some look very familiar! I finally got that empty. Owl I wanted and for much less although the light that Nichol wanted was a little more than we wanted to afford but the actual store was awesome, all these vintage lights and strange creations from old car headlamps but they were seriously dreamin' with the price!
We stopped in at this little warung that was serving suckling pig, which the driver on Sunday said was the food of Bali, the cracking and sauce was delicious although not so sure of the meat itself.
Came back into town and got a coconut milk ice block (need to try and make those at home), went and picked up the laundry and then went to the art market to buy some pressies and a painting that we had seen the day before and liked. Had some skewers here and got ripped off by the people sneaking in some extra rice that will probably poison us - it was on 50c but it is the principal of the thing!
Nichol went to have his massage and I hung out at home trying to catch up on all the journaling that I have let lapse.
That took us until dinner time and went for walk for dinner, both feeling like something less adventurous. Went for a walk down to the monkey forest but it looks really dodgy at night so will have to go back in the morning when there are people and lights!
