Lucky last day at the resort, started with the usual buffet but today we were sitting next to this French couple who for some reason decided that they would have all the bread rolls from the buffet for breakfast... Weird!
Off for a swim and a cocktail before getting the hotel's transport to the airport, it was cheaper if they took us half way to the next stop!
Waited at the airport for a taxi and went through the usual barter poo then were on our way to Seminyak, glad we got the taxi because the hotel, although boasting convenience was down this dodgy little back street that we would never have found! Quite a nice place though and a free upgrade although that came back to bite us when we wanted to stay another night!
Got un packed and attempted to wander into Seminyak centre but ended up at the beach instead, I can see the appeal of this place, kind of a mix of the third world and the northern beaches. We stopped in at a cool looking, colourful pub and had the stereotypical Bintang- it was ok! Got haranged by people selling wares on the beach and bought a hat.
After the beer we wandered along trying to get to Kuta but weren't sure of the way so caught a cab, it was rush hour which was a little bit of a nuisance and a little scary, it was still a pretty cheap ride though, I think the metered cabs are the ticket around here.
Hung out in Kuta for a bit and had some dinner, wandered along the Main Street until I got tired of all the bogans and crap and decided to go home, Nichol seemed keen to party on but no where looked too appealing. The place we had dinner was pretty cool, cheap and sort of Balinese food, the owner got a little excited when we asked for more chilli!
After about 4 hours wandering around Kuta I can see why people try and avoid thins place unless they are drunken bogans!
