ACTUAL DATE: 7th feb...Went Shopping to buy a warmer jacket for me and a jacket for nichol. the department stores are huge and a little too much to navigate so we ended up at marmut and the north face. about half way through we headed to china town for some dim sum which is American for yum cha. We ordered off a menu instead of a trolley which was different but apparently not typical. The building was really pretty inside... Ming dynasty-esque! Got tired of shopping and spending all our money and getting tricked by sales tax that wasn't included in the price and headed for the rental place for the car. Good thing that we needed a credit card for the car because Nichol realised that his was missing and upon renting the car we had to leave it parked and head back down to marmut for the card... Found it!!! A little scary sitting on the drivers side with no steering wheel and turning left was weird and in wasn't even the one driving. Headed for the 280 hwy and took the first exit... Oops! Went around the block wondering what the etiquette was for turning left, u-turns and who had right of way but we made it back onto the freeway. With no GPS thanks to the stupid apple phone doing an update instead of downloading the maps, had to stop in at a random Starbucks and have a super sweet coffee in order to download the Tom Tom app. Is getting a bit chilly here and am glad that i got the super arctic condition north face jacket. Just about done and ready to head off with the newly downloaded maps... Yay! Out to dinner to a Mexican place called something or other sol. Had a deliciously alcoholic margarita and a weird saucy thing on my burrito that had cocoa as one of the ingredients... Interesting but not again!!
