We are currently on route to Singapore.
The seats are laid out in a 3-3-3 configuration. It's great we all have just 2 people per set of 3 seats.
Airline food isn't normally known for its appeal, but let me say...it was really quite yummy.
Tuna and pasta salad
Stewed beef in red wine seasonal vegies (broccoli and carrot) and potatoes (mashed)
Cheese and crackers
Vanilla cornetto
Bread roll with butter
Coffee to finish.
There is a ridiculous amount of tv programs, movies, documentaries etc to fully entertain us for the duration of the flight.
I'm not sure what the current real time is, but my phone is saying 7:45pm. That could be eastern standard time for all I know. I guess we could just have been flying for 3 hours, it's hard to tell when the sun doesn't seem to change its position in the sky.
I must say, the kids are all coping really well. It's a huge thing for them to experience...international flights! Joshua's comment to me..."mum, the drinks are for FREE!" you can tell he's only ever flown domestic before.
The cabin crew have been very good too. Will definately fly Singapore Airlines again, oh wait, I am in about 4 hours time...lol
Before we boarded the plane, I made a quick phone call home. I thought I was doing really well, turns out I'm missing Tony and my girls already (and I haven't even left the country). Luckily I couldn't talk for long (as it was, I was the last of our group to board-well and truly). I was a blubbering mess by the time I ended the call.
