So today we went up to the top of the Rockefeller Centre. Quick look for celebs on the ice rink first, as they always seem to be pictured in Heat there, but none. They're hiding from me I swear! Eva Longaria is due to be there (well at the NBC studios which is in the Rockefeller Centre) on Thursday - the day I leave for LA. Gutted. Still, will be watching out for her at the airport.
So, it was awesome, had a brilliantly clear day day for it which was nice, so lots of pictures of the New York skyline. Very high up, so even more FREEZING than the rest of New York. And I thought Edinburgh was bad for the coldness.....
Bit more time for shopping after that, had forgotten how much I love this shop called Anthropologie. Sells all kind of cute stuff that you never really think you'll need, then you see it in there and somehow wonder how you ever did without it. Also awesome clothes. Shame I don't have much space in my bags, and still have a few rmoe stop overs, else I could have gone totally mad in there. Also picked up some bit and piece from J.Crew, another favourite of mine. And perfumes and make-up in Saks. Good shop!
Went out for drinks with some Americans in the evening, am thinking I need to get over my annoyance of the American accent if I am to survive the next 10 days or so. It really grates me, especially when they're wrong, but saying it loudly enough for everyone to think they're right. Some guy sat and *loudly* told me how the problem with Britain is that they don't serve fortune cookies (wtf?!). I told him we did actually have them, but he seemed adamant. And as he had travelled the UK, clearly he knoew more about it than me having lived there for 25 years. Arse.
