As you may have guessed we're a little behind in the blogs so we're going to keep this nice and short in order to fit everything in that we have been doing over the past month or so in New Zealand.
We landed in Christchurch and were greated by two of nathans mates, dinger and jack, who had rented a car for the day and travelled up to the airport to pick us up which was rather nice of them. we got back and made friends with a couple of girls who where staying in the hostel then headed off to bed. We then pottered about for a few days exploring christchurch and pondering on how we would explore nz. After a bit of research we decided to rent a camper van as this was the cheapest option and do it our way. So we set off the 6 of us, in three vans and our first stop was Lake Tekapo a fair way inland to the middle-ish, we camped there for the night before heading round the corner to Mt Cooke and explored that region the following day. After much debate we decided to head right down to the East coast to explore a place called Dunedin. this was a great little town which was also home to new zealands cadbury's factory and its most popular beer Speights. so naturally we done both guided tours before staying in a camp site for the night to charge up our van battery's and refill water, fuel etc. We then decided we'd make our way to the West coast and head for a small town called Te Anau where we went on a glow worm tour before stocking up and heading out to the very remote Milford Sound where we took a boat tour and saw wild dolphines. We were supposed to camp at milford but snow was coming and to get in and out of milford you had to drive up/down a huge cliff which if was covered in snow our vans would never make it up so we headed off back to Te Anau, camped the night then headed for Queenstown.
