Morocco - Land of adventure, medieval cities, remote villages, berbers, snake charmers, scorpions and ..................... ummm ..
.............. 'rocks' according to Flinn (age 5). "Mo -- rocc -- o - that means lots of rocks mama" advises Flinn!

Flights to Marrakesch were booked in January and ever since then, Flinn has told anyone who will listen (and even plenty who won't), that he's off to Morocco to see 'snake charmings', camels and to go down to the Sahara to ride on camels and play with scorpions!

Snake charmers - yes!, the Sahara and camels - yes!, scorpions - absolutely

and categorically, not on your life!

There is clearly a mismatch between my idea and Flinn's of what we will be doing on our travels in Morocco!

Imogen (age 12) hasn't contributed much by the way of ideas of what she'd like to do in Morocco, other than hang out in Djemma El Fna in Marrakesch and see the water sellers and tooth puller. In fact, Imogen is her usual laid back self, calmly stating "whatever mam" every time the convesation turns towards Morocco.

All conversations between myself and the kids leads me to believe this has all the earmarks of a VERY intersting trip!
