Awoke to a grey day in Halifax and the mood was not lightened by the programme - tour of downtown Halifax to visit historical sites.
1. The centre of Halifax that was decimated by the greatest man made explosion before the atom bomb when 100s of people died or were blinded or maimed for life when a munitions ship caught fire.
2. The cemetery where the bodies of the dead from the sinking of the Titanic, many of whom were never identified, were buried.
3. The park and gardens which had been redeveloped after their destruction by a hurricane.
4. This is in addition to yesterday's visit to the memorial for the 239 people who died when a fully loaded passenger jet crashed just off shore.
The day continued wet and cold so no photos were taken. We headed north towards New Brunswick, stopping en route at a maple syrup farm to learn about the industry and taste its products. We are now in Moncton and the sun is shining again. Shortly we will go and forage for food. I believe salmon farming is a big industry in these parts so guess what we will be having for dinner.

Don Woollen I'm surprised you weren't taken on a ghost walk in the evening. You should ask for a partial refund! We are basking in spring sun for Tulip Sunday.
Justine Wow- imagine living in that grim place! Salmon and maple syrup- now that’s more like it!
