Really! I'm still surprised sometimes by how organized this country is. They noted a guide book on the www.wanderland.ch website and linked you to an online book store. Since I'm completely impatient I went to the local bookstore, Bidder Tanner, where it took me all of 4 minutes to find this book among the mountain of travel books and maps. BONUS, it was cheaper than on line!
This guide book is entirely in German, so that leaves me the task to translate the whole thing. Which once translated I can proffer to the publishing company if they see a financial benefit to print it in English as well. Am I over stepping my bounds? Are there really so many people that may want to buy this book in English...? I don't know but I'm going to translate it anyway so may as well try to make some money!
Back to the guidebook, it steps you through each of the 15 stages of the hike. It includes all the general information you need to know about signs, terrain etc that is in all the guide books. Plus, the feature I like the most is within one stage it has several 'check points' with estimated times and what's available at that village, town etc. I really can't wait to dig into this book!
Now off to the store to try on hiking boots. My old ones are getting down right dangerous and what girl doesn't need another pair of hiking boots??
