ZAMBALES ISLAND HOPPING
Initially, we planned to take a Victory liner bus bound to Iba, Zambales from Cubao. Upon arrival in Cubao around 2 AM right after work,to our surprise, we were told that there's no more bus going to Zambales. I asked one personnel from the bus station if there's another way to get to Zambales. We rode the bus bound to Olongapo instead. We dropped off at Double Happiness in Pampanga where we took our Filipino breakfast while waiting for a bus bound to Iba. Around 8 am, we finally got the chance to ride one and got off at San Antonio town proper around 10am.
Right in front of the San Antonio municipal hall, we rode a tricycle going to Pundaquit. We were charged 60php for the ride which I think was reasonable enough since it's a little far. We took our lunch at the Nora resort while waiting for our lancha, (small boat).
We started our trip from Pundaquit to Nagsasa Cove which took more or less 30 minutes. Our boatman helped us built the camping tent before leaving us.
Rest time. We took a walk to be familiar with the place;where to take a shower and buy the food.
What a breathtaking view of the sunset and the brownish green color of the terrains,
At night, we ordered pancit canton with tuna and bought a gallon of water.Really, we didn't bring any food. this is what camping is all about.
In the morning, we went for a walk and to took photos of the awe-inspiring sunrise ,drank a buko juice (50php)and ordered 2 big fishes for breakfast which cost 300php only.BY 11 am, our boatman arrived and brought us to Ananwangin Cove.It looks similar to Nagsasa but there were more people, souvenir shops and stores. After building the tent, we went out to take a look of the area and bought some souvenir items. Here there are nipa huts for rent.
At night we took our dinner in a nearby sari sari store and ordered galunggong with yellow suaash whoich cost us 300php.told you, better bpack your own food.
Early morning, we just bought bread and eden cheese with coffee and hurried up for the island hopping tour. First stop is Capones Island where we trekked to the Spanish old lighthouse. Then we stopped to another Island called Camara Island and swam there for a while before we finally dropped at the same resort to signal end of our amazing trip. We ate late lunch in the resort at 3PM and rode a tricy going back to San Antonio town.
From there, we rode a bus going to Cubao. We arrived late in the evening.
