We're on our last day of our short visit to Singpore, this the 3rd day and flying to Malaysian Borneo tonight.
The hostel we stayed at was nice, much more what we thought a hostel would be like. We stayed in bunk beds in 12 bed dorm so the ear plugs and eye masks came in very useful! We were lucky in that we were tucked away in a corner so atleast we did have some sort of privacy. Most of the time in the hostel was spent in the "common area" with everyone, though we didnt actually speak to many people. Tiger Beer was on tap too so you can't complain!
After arriving in the evening we settled in and just went out for dinner. The next day we went to Singpore Zoo which is meant to be one of the best in the world. It was actually very good, you can get much closer to the animals than you can in the UK zoos with free ranging animals including Orangutans! Some very good photos to come on that!
On sunday we went to Sentosa, an island at the end of Singapore which is now a beach resort. 3 lovely beaches with lots of attractions aimed firmly at toursists. We did enjoy ourselves though it was quite expensive.
On the whole i think we both prefered Hong Kong. There isnt a great deal to do here other than the 2 things we did, so we're glad to have only scheduled 3 days. It has rained heavily every day for a couple of hours which though refreshing kind of keeps you under cover til it stops. It is a lot warmer though which i know keeps Hannah happy.
Photos will be uploaded as soon as we find a good internet cafe. But onto Borneo now!
