Empire State Building
Today we ventured back up to Manhattan to see more sights and to try to go up the Empire State building. First, we had an adventure trying to catch the subway uptown to the Museum of Nature and Science. We didn’t know where to go, but thankfully we have experienced so many friendly and nice people in New York who are willing to help. We eventually got to the museum. This was the museum the movie “Night at the Museum” was based on. We didn’t go through the whole museum, but we did see the dinosaur in the foyer. It was pretty fun. We then walked across the street and enjoyed some relaxing time in Central Park. Once we were all rested up, we then headed back downtown to the Empire State Building. When I was here 16 years ago, you could go up to observation deck by taking the elevator. There were no lines, and it was free. But now…there is a line over 1 hour long and you have to buy a ticket! But once you are up on top, you can stay there as long as you want. Needless to say, it was pretty awesome to see the whole city from the top of 80 stories. Check out some of the photos that we have attached. Hopefully they can help tell you how high we were. We then walked back to the subway, but not before stopping in an Italian restaurant to have another excellent New York cheese pizza!
