Day 2 - Hong Kong
After a good nights sleep we awoke to scorching temperatures and high humidity. We took a taxi to the ferry port before getting the Star Ferry over to Hong Kong Central.
We didnt really have an agenda for the day so just dotted about the place.
We crossed the road to notice a protest outside the Citibank office. They classed Citi as the devil and were not happy about something. Was rather amusing.
We then found the bus terminal so got a bus out to Repulse Bay only to discover it had a lovely quiet beach, so we ended up spending a few hours there dipping in and out of the sea as the temperature hit 36 degrees. We wondered what the yellow markers in sea were for only to later discover they was shark nets.
After cooling down in the shade and taking some photos of the statues etc at the bay we headed for the bus back into town.
We got off at Wan Chai and took a walk around and ended up in the pub where the Hong Kong Rangers Supporters Club meets. Food was good. I had the lasagne and Laura had a cheese and pickle baguette.
We took a long walk back from Wang Chai to the Ferry Port before heading back to the hotel. The sun has taken it out us today so it will be another early night before the start of another tiring day tomorrow.
