Monday
The Law Career Fair happened this week as well. There were probably 10-12 law firms scrunched into this room, along with all the law students. Interestingly, only as of this year can foreign trained lawyers write the Singaporean bar exam and be called to the bar here. Otherwise, if you are not called to the Singapore bar you can work at the firm, but can't sign documents on behalf of the firm. Kind of interesting stuff. Only the corporate firms, and the government were their hiring. Apparently criminal lawyers are almost non-existent, which makes sense, kind of, because of the low crime rates.
Tuesday
We decided to go to a movie on Tuesday night, and due to everyone's schedules we had to go to the later movie. We were also going to see Jumper, so decided to go to the "Gold Club". Wow!! What an experience! There were only about 30 seats in the theatre, but, they were lazy-boy chairs! And there was a little coffee table between the two chairs. There was a button on your table to buzz your waitress to come and serve you as well. It was amazing! I will definitely go there again! What a movie experience!
Wednesday
I'm pleased to let you all know that Wednesday was my last day of Intelligence law. Which means, I have finished 3 of my 4 classes at the National University of Singapore. Yes, you heard that right, after reading week, Feb 21 - March 2, I will only have class once a week, Wednesday mornings.
Oh, and I also agreed to give the presentation on Aboriginal tax for my corporate tax class. I hope I don't regret it.
I am heading to Korea on Saturday to catch up with old friends, write a 12hr take home exam, and hang out.
