Well, I finally decided to take some time off. I slept all day Thursday, until 4:30 pm. I then got a text seeing if I wanted to go buy some climbing shoes. So I said 'for sure!' lol
I got out of bed and got ready to actually do something for the day. I was supposed to be doing many things on Thursday, such as: editing open memos, reading for class, working on assignments, or doing research for papers I have to write. However, none of that got done, so instead, I went to buy a pair of climbing shoes. (although I'm not allowed to climb for 2-3 weeks)
We went to the mall where my bag was stolen to check lost and found... however, there is no lost and found?!? The lady at the desk picked up a phone and called 'someone' to see if they had found a 'black puma bag'. I was furious... there was more than just my bag, but she wouldn't phone them back, or anything... so that was it.
We carried on to our destination: Climb Asia. It took awhile to find, but in the end we found it, and we both found shoes that fit. In days prior, 3 of us had tried on a number of shoes, and 3 different locations, and then, it just turned out to be our lucky day! I love my shoes and can't wait to get back at it! I'm not going to let my stuipid body stop me from enjoying life. ... (my mom got a good laugh from that statement)
Following our great purchase, we decided to wander around and find Little India. It wasn't far and was super interesting! I saw this vitamin store and suggested we go in, because I was running low (you can't really find liquid multi-vitamins here). This store was 5 stories high (but you couldn't tell until you got inside). It had everything in it, a grocery store, bags, clothes, spices, sporting goods, tv's, electronics, washers, dryers, every kind of appliance, fabric, and 2 floors dedicated to Indian jewelery (the really gold stuff). It was phenomenal! Oh yah, and they had souvenirs! in the 'Random' photo album you'll see a doggy hamburger, it's a piggy bank, and was the most random thing ever!
So, today, Friday, I got up early and started doing the things I was supposed to do yesterday. Editing memos, typing notes, and well, that's all I've gotten to so far.
Tomorrow is the Chinese New Year parade downtown Singapore, so stay tuned for more GREAT photos and stories.
