Well, this journey isn't off to the best start ever, but hey, ~that's what it's all about. you put your left hand, your take you left hand out, and you shake it all about~
I slept in today, getting out of bed at 7:40 instead of 7:05. Funny thing is, I don't have classes until 6:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is my only morning class from 9-12.
It is now 9am and my neighbor across the hall is practicing her violin, and will be practicing now for 3 hours. I've been awake for 3 and have had my breakfast, chatted on skype with my mom, and started in on my readings for the day. The temperature is already a balmy 29* and my air con is on high.
I went shopping yesterday, to get a new water bottle because I lost mine the first day I was here. (wow, I've had to replace a lot of things since my arrival 2 weeks ago) I then, mysteriously, ended up in a market afterward, for more unnecessary shopping. Well, not completely unnecessary, one always needs more clothes. But one does not need the sales clerk grabbing clothes out your hands and saying, 'it won't fit, you're too big'. Who does that?
Another day of wandering the streets of Singapore.
Today however, the plan is to stay in my air conditioned room and actually get some work done. What a novel idea.
