Emily and I have decided to stay in Broome until Sunday, and will then be going to Kununurra for two days, and then we will finally get to Darwin! It means we can chill out a bit and get used to the heat before we move on. We have a found a really shady patch for our tent in the campsite, although the tent is now covered in bird droppings! I don't know what the birds are but they are nocturnal and make a right racket - they sound like naughty school children cack...

We arrived in Broome on Saturday evening (13th) after an epic bus journey. The trip was quite comfortable and every time we got off for a rest stop we could tell it was getting warmer and warmer. Broome is in the Tropic of Capricorn and it's really warm - in the low 30s. Today is our last day in Kalbarri - we are leaving in about 90 minutes to catch the bus to Monkey Mia for two days to watch the dolphin feeding :) Kalbarri has been really good - on Sunday Em and I got up for the pelican feeding and then walked about 5km south to Red Bluff - a red bit of cliff from where we could spy big splashes - whales!
