I've been at Deep Well since Thursday, and am settling in OK. Deep Well is about an hours drive south-ish out of Alice Springs. It's interesting to see how different stations operate. At Napperby there were a couple of families, a couple of men, backpackers and the owners, whereas here there's just me and the family. My job is to clean and keep an eye on the kids. There are three boys here, and they are lovely and very polite - everyone is so well brought up in the outback :)

I have my own room again in the staff quarters, just like in Napperby, except this time it's ensuite, don't you know. I eat my meals with the family which is nice, rather than being banished back to the quarters. There are different bugs out here - dragonflies all over the place and less of the disgusting huge wasp-beast things. I've put up some pictures of Napperby.
