We had a lie-in today and then went in search for the nice patisserie Alice had suggested. We couldn't remember her instructions on how to get there though so settled for one just around the corner, which was very pricey. We had passed a frozen yoghurt shop on the way there, which obviously needed to be tried out. I had banana and chocolate, with a wide assortment of toppings including crunchy chocolate chips, normal chocolate chips, cranberries, yoghurt bursts, strawberry bursts (little capsules that burst in your mouth with flavoured syrup inside), granola, fruity cornflakes, and cashew nuts. Because it had been so expensive we decided after all to take advantage of the toast and peanut butter back at Alice's, and watched some reality TV shows, before taking a taxi (Alice insisted on giving us the money for it, so we didn't have to have the faff of taking the LRT to the airport).
Our flight said it was delayed by half an hour, but it was slightly later than that. I plugged myself into 3 films one after the other on the personal TV screens- I watched the Bob Marley documentary, Spiderman and The Watch. Alice was lucky to get a vegetarian meal as you were supposed to notify them of dietary requirements at time of booking (I'm not sure Alex at STA even asked us), but one of the hostesses didn't want hers so it was ok. Emirates has been the only airline so far to give us snacks with our drinks, and regularly supply us with water- it's very dehydrating flying!
