DAY 5
It has been an amazing morning, first we got us ate a good breakfast then we were ready to go! Mike knew where to go and dropped us off at the fairy that took us to the see Statue of Liberty up close and personal! I love fairies they're so cool, it was a little rocky but that's the fun part! We had an hour or so to walk around and take pictures especially of Lady Liberty! She was so beautiful, I could've been there for hours but we unfortunately were on a schedule and had to leave, we then went to the Ellis island museum where families traveled from Europe because America had everything they needed. It was very interesting as my relatives from Italy came to America that same way! We walked around with our head sets and enjoyed the relaxing yet informative building we were in. It did get boring every once in a while but I made myself through it! After awhile we headed back to the fairy to go back to New York! Once we arrived we had a scattered lunch I have pizza of course you gotta have a big ole slice of New York pizza and it was delicious! We then did some shopping with the extra time we had and headed to the 9/11 memorial! We walked around taking in the similarities it has to the bombing memorial in Oklahoma City. I loved the reflection pools the most, the names on the sides really ties it together and the sort of significance the people who passed have and are respected really made my heart swell. Everyday there is at least one white rose on a name in memory of that persons birthday and when there is a red rose it's in memory of an anniversary! Inside the museum is amazing its huge and there is so much time that you can tell that has been put into it, it was really hard going through the museum but it was worth it! After we spent our 2 almost 3 hours there we headed to the subway station which we took to get us to our southern comfort food restaurant of course we went crazy because it was like home just across the country! After dinner we went to the Empire State Building, which was awesome! I've always seen pictures but being on top of it and looking out over New York is such a better experience it was beautiful! I loved being able to point of all that I had seen today and yesterday! Although we had to walk 6 steep flights of stairs the view was worth it! I can't wait to bring my parents with me next time and get to see the look on there faces when they see this!
