On the way to dinner in Little India, we met some lads from John Hampden School who lived in Beaconsfield, they knew a few people from pipers! Small world. They were going to the hangout where Dan had stayed and didn't know the way and because we are nice people we took them there ( I hope somebody would do the same for us if we were in that sitch!) OK, so we went out for a curry and it was soooo yummy, we went to a place where you put your dinner on a banana leaf (it kinda looks like you pouring your dinner all over the table) but it was fun to eat and also sooo tasty, we have all decided that no curry in England will have live up to it. After that, Dan having a poorly foot went back to the hostel along with Becky because she was tired and Ness and I went down to Clarke Quay again, we sat along the river watching the world go by, again drinking mocktails until about 1am and then went to a club called Kandi Bar, if anybody knows the Hed Kandi CDs then they will understand the bar, but it was soooo awesome (I would like to apologise for my lack of vocabulary and spelling now and how everything is awesome and kewl) the walls were made of crocodile cuddly toys the floor was bright lights, the bar was like a jail cell, it was all very swanky, just like the rest of clarke quay, we met the boys there again who made even more stupid comments about how posh we were even though the wycombe high girls (travellers ill remind you) had Mui Mui bags and had brought straighteners with them! then headed home at about 3, it was a fun night. Woke up late (tho Ness got up especially early to have breakfast as she has bought peanut butter especially for the occasion) and headed out Orchard road, we went to CK Tang which is like Harrods in Sinapore and had apple kebabs (apple pieces on a stick) - doesnt seem like a big deal but we haven't been able to get apples since we left home! and apparently Becky had a hard time getting any fruit at all in South America, and then just went for a wander round, we all tried on ball gowns, so yeah we were basically just messing about. After that we went into other shops that we have at home just to get a browsing fix and then went for lunch. it was again yummy. we can say that we have walked the whole length of Orchard Road and this lead us into Fort Canning Park. I'd like to point out that Ness is very ill today, she has a cold and the air con experience didn't help it, (we slept without the air con, Ness and I were toasty and happy, Dan and Becky boiled in there beds apparently :oS) so we really were dragging her around, but she didn't complain once although she was worse for wear. Yeah so Fort Canning Park, well Becky and I left Ness to sleep in the middle of the Park whilst we had a wander around, I read all the signs about all of the history and do you know what, I can now tell you that I retained none of it and can tell you nothing. (look it up if you are that bothered) but we saw the Asian Sculpture Garden where Becky was one with a sculpture (you have to see the photograph to get what im mumbling about) the spice garden, a cannon, Raffles house (its a little bungalow in the park) the resovoir, the lighthouse-y thingy erm and lots of trees, it was a really nice wander, the weather was beau and we just ambled around. We had other plans but Ness looked worse than death so we took her back to the hostel and we've decided to stay in Singapore another night instead. Later on we are going to China Town for dinner and then Becky and I will go to Clarke Quay ( i definately win the prize for going to Clarke Quay the most often) Mwah Karli, Ness, Becky and Dan (even though we hardly saw him today) xzxzxzxzxzx
