Hello!
Gosh, I want to be there! You write very well - really rich descriptions; i've just read all your postcards and feel like i've had a total escape with sunshine and strangeness (I want to see women with sewing machines on their heads!! and all the rest). And you've made me HUNGRY too! The food sounds amazing!
Glad your school-work's going well too, and hope you get the music you need soon. I'm having a very amusing time in my flute lessons at the mo trying to learn to circular-breathe with a straw and a glass of water. (Blow bubbles whilst filling your cheeks with air, block throat, blow out cheek-air whilst trying to inhale through nose, unblock throat, keep blowing. Repeat for as long as possible) - How to hyperventilate, look really silly, blow bubbles and spill water down your front all at the same time!! Try it some time!
Anyway, take care my dear

Hi James. you seem to be settling into the local way of life ! Beer, spicey foods, and chocolate, sounds good to me. Im expecting some interesting cross rhythm percussion techniques to be displyed on your return. The band played 'Loveboat' on Sunday at the Beaufort. You were mentioned in dispatches! The country and poeple sound amazing, great to read. Whats the temp like on your walk in and out of town? Look foward to your next report.
Finchy.

Hi James,
Great to see you piccies and read your excellently written news! We are in the middle of the Young Musicians last fling at Square Chapel - Mum will have told you its folding. So sad. Brilliant young Ukrainian pianist on Thurs and cello piano duo last night - sublime inspite of playing Crumb and Macmillan! Met Mum and Douglas both nights and meeting for a meal tonight before a quartet, they are selling raffle tickets and I am ushering. Geoff and Dorothy will sit and wait for us! Lovely sunny frosty morning in good old blighty. Off to practice medieval dancing with musicians. All good fun. lots of love Annie

Hi James
Glad you've discovered Busua!! It is such a way to relax and recharge batteries. Have you tried the lobster?!?
If you meet up with Alex there (he sells t shirts, has dreads and plays the guitar) say hi to him from me, and say I wear my t shirt to garden as I promised!

James!
Suddenly realised I've not left you any messages yet, so thought I'd rectify the situation now. So very EXCITING to know you're out there at last, and lovely to be able to read your blog and know what you're up to, (though it's not easy to imagine Africa and heat and sunshine and beaches really existing right now this minute from autumnal leicester!!!) and the photos are great (was v. nice to see the one of us all in the island hall - seems sooo long ago now. I've recently aquired a CD with 'share the darkness' on it, which is lovely, but can hardly bear listening to it because it's so intensely evocative!!) - look forward to seeing some more of where you are now, and keep up the good work, and keep having a lovely time, and lots of love!!!

Hi James,
Great to read your news and see that you are settling in so well.
we had a good time in Oslo last week, with Jenny and Adam. now counting down until Jenny's trip. we had a look last night on Google Earth at Ghana to see where you are!
Been up to your Mum's today to see her and Dad. Its been a very cold but brilliantly sunny, clear day. Glad to hear your TV experience went well. Who knows when you will next be on
Love Helen

Hi, hope you are having a great time in Ghana. At school we are doing a project on diaries so it is great to read your blogs. By the way, my name is Martha who you met in St. Agnes and I am in Year 5 at school (in Birmingham). P.S. On the last day, when we were leaving, you met my mum (the crazy one)! from Martha
