Well we made it to Thailand in one piece!! Only a 2 hour delay to the flight due to a lack of cabin crew - Steve and I did offer (having had a practice run serving drinks and snacks on the bus at Hayley and Jim's wedding) but were sadly declined.......

We are having an amazing time already........ the first night we ended up in a Thai disco and made friends with some local nutters who were great fun (although they couldn't speak much thanks to 2 bottles of Johnnie Walker)

We spent yesterday sightseeing - racing around Bangkok in a couple of Tuk Tuks which was hilarious (photos in the album)

Steve, Em and I treated ourselves to facials which were amazing, although we discovered that what we thought was a reputable massage parlour, did offer 'Extras'. I asked for an extra - a deep cleansing mud mask to be precise. So you can imagine my surprise when I was suddenly straddled by a Thai lady massaging my feet and legs..... luckily she stopped at my thighs!!!

Last night we attended the King and Queens anniversary celebrations (no - not Steve and I) along with millions of others. The King has been on the throne for 60 yrs apparently!! The streets were decorated, there were parades, fireworks, bands and more.... it was absolutely amazing!!!

We leave Bangkok tomorrow - Next stop Chiang Mai and Pai
