Happy New Year!!

We are currently in Palm Springs sobering up at Gordon's pad in the desert - what a mad New Years Eve party!! We started the evening off very respectably and had dinner at the tennis club in Palm Springs, where the wine was flowing .... from here we went to the most bizarre house party which was such a hoot!!

The party was hosted by a real estate tycoon by the name of Jerry. The house was amazing and had lots of photos of Jerry with various Hollywood stars all over the walls. The house was formerly owned by some famous American singer Katie Davis whom I had never heard of - but who sounded fabulous!!

We decided at 11:30pm that Jerry's place wasn't rocking enough and that we needed to go to a club .... none of us had ID and so we were refused at the club door at 11:50pm ......

Stranded so close to midnight and desperately in need of another drink, we shot round to Gordon's place with 5 mins to spare and brought in the New Year with a few glasses of bubbly!! After this we resorted back to Plan A and headed back to the Club - Oasis. It was a blast and as usual we all drank far too much - hence the hangover from hell today!!

I drove on the wrong side of the road for the first time today (the American side) which was all a bit mad and resulted in me lapsing back to driving on the left and going down a no entry much to the terror and amusement of a few American onlookers .....

The past few days have been so fab!! We were in LA before we arrived in Palm Springs and really had a blast. We did the usual sights - Hollywood Boulevard, Walk of Fame and of course Rodeo Drive where Steve and I re-enacted a few scenes from Pretty Woman - Steve acting out the hooker scenes and me acting out the shopping in Gucci etc.

Unfortunately we were informed that Victoria and David were back in England for Christmas and New Year - so we didn't call round to theirs .......

Gordon threw a fab New Years Day pool party today with around 50 guests - all of which was great fun and amazing!! Now we are completely pooped and counting down the hours until bedtime ...

The next few days will involve more fun in the Playground of the Rich and Famous and of course a night in Vegas ...
