To sum up our trip:
In 70 days we had...
31 flights totaling 103 hours
60 hours on buses
12 hours on trains
5 cases of traveler's diahearra
4 fevers
1 sinus infection
3 broken cameras
3 countries visited in monsoon season
100 bobby pins used to hold up our Indian hairstyles in Bangladesh
50 safety pins used to hold up our saris
1 pair of infested pants (cause still unknown)
1 conga ant bite
1 fall from a Tarzan jungle vine
44 packs of travel kleenex used (usually used for toilet paper)
35 pounds as the average weight of our luggage
4 showings of Fool's Gold on flights
1 Michael Jackson tattoo
3 days survived in India
10 days of a cough left over from the pollution in India
13 time zones
3 times we were asked if we were stewardesses
3 marriage proposals
and an infinite number of taxis, subways, bad toilets, breast feeding mothers viewed in Peru, times tipping people for no reason, extremely loud tv commercials, loads of laundry in sinks or bathtubs, thongs viewed on Spanish beaches, hours in airports, crazy drivers, and overstuffed buses and taxis
This was all worth it because...
We had no stolen items, no lost luggage, and a very surprisingly low number of mosquito bites. We had Mr. Hundman properly learn 3 Spanish phrases, we saw 4 wonders of the world, made facebook friends from around the world, swam with a seal, performed an Indian dance, ate various forms of pancakes from 6 different countries, vastly improved our Spanish speaking skills, climbed waterfalls in the Amazon, taught Andean children English, and had an amazing summer like no other with close friends traveling the world.
