Hello everyone,
Soooo my turn on the blog today, and i'll do now while i'm all hyper from the karaoke hehe! Chris and I have just been to an international party for english teachers to meet some students, there was about 6 english and sooooo many japanese. It was so good to meet lots of Japanese people, some were looking for us to teach them and some just happy to meet english people so we ended up in karaoke with them! yeah the karaoke is so much fun, just like i had imagined, there are loads of rooms which a group of friends has to themselves which is complete with musical intruments!! and to get more drinks just press the button! i did warn everyone of my awful singing but i dont think anything could have prepared them for my version of wuthering heights, haha! i think our japanese friends were impressed with my rapping to 'i'm a scatman' though...
skiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii bad ba ba da bop
bad ba bad a bop, skiiiiiiiiiiii bad ba bad a bop i'm a scatman. yeah!
So this weekend has been pretty awesome really done lots of dancing yay! and threw some shapes to techno at a club about 10 seconds from the house. It is so handy being at the heart of everything here in Shibuya.
Tokyo is so crazy like ALL the time 24/7 you can shop, drink go out for food any time you want. so it was nice to visit a little surf town called Chigasaki for a couple of days and see the beach! We stayed with Kaz who very kindly put us up for the night thank you! When we arrived it was pretty flat (check out the sunset yes its a real picture not a postcard!) so Kaz gave us a tour of a place called Kamakura which has a famous giant buddha statue built in 1452, so old! They we have a lovely walk along the beach in Chigasaki. They have a special currency here called 'beach money'. This is where you collect colured glass that has been smoothed by the sea and is on the beach. Depending on the size and colour this can by traded for money in some surf shops, and cafes. red glass stones and two tone cloloured stones are worth more. The stones we found were a bit lame though and i think the guy in the surf shop felt sorry for us so gave us 60 yen for our effort!
We did some surfing the next day and it was soooo windy. i have never been out in conditions like that before and almost drowned chris said i was a brave girl. The sea was actually warm wish was soo nice. No jelly fish either thank god!
Sooo, check out the pics, and i will put some from the zoo on tommorow lots of funny animals! anyway love and hugs . LATER POTATOES xxxx
