Same same, but no same lah. I'll be leaving Singapore today and it's way too soon.
Actually I was supposed to leave yesterday already but I sprained my foot and it got all swollen, not so nice to walk..
I've been having such a great time with my friends, old and new. Matthew ended up hosting me for quite awhile, and took me around too as much as he could. His friend Faz whom I met during new years took me around quite a lot as well. We went to the national museum of Singapore, which was actually pretty cool:) On one occasion he took me to this fire fighter's dinner&dance. It was a lot of fun, quite a fancy occasion too. The dinner was 9 courses. That was a first for me:D
Friday we had a guitarheroparty at Jerald's. We had the whole set and there was 7 of us (Nura, me, Gaffar, Candice, Clemence, Timothy and Jerald), we all switched roles quite a lot. So much fun!! I love guitarhero/rockband and especially in a small group like that it's just too much fun:D Gaffar and I stayed over too.
Sat was a girl's night, Nura and I went to a club called Zouk with 2 of her other girlfriends. Dash Berlin was playing there, he's one of Nura's favourites. If only I was still here next sat I could have caught Crystal Castles at Zouk!!! Anyway the place qas really packed. I injured my foot somehow in the crowd, but it didn't swell up before sunday evening.
Since saturday I've been staying at Nura's. I love her family too and I'm happy I got a chance to meet them! Sunday was supposed to be my last night here so a bunch of us went out to this place called Henderson waves. It's a beautiful modern bridge where you can just sit and hang out. Very beautiful and calm place. After coming back my foot really started to hurt and it swell quite a lot. Monday I had trouble walking so I decided to stay another night:)
So last night, my actual last night here Nura and I met up with Gaffar at Arab street, had dinner and went to a very nice and cosy shisha place after. Loved it! Such a laidback place, comfortable sofa and a good crowd. Was good for my foot too, since I got to relax and lift it up:) Today it's been much better, still a bit difficult to walk and all, but I'm off painmeds and I bought a busticket for Kuala Lumpur for tonight.
I love this city. It's a mix of so many different races, mostly chinese, malay and Indian. But you can see so many influences from so many different countries. The food is heavenly and you can find anything you want. Eating is a national hobby here so eating out is cheap too:) Public transportation is good and easy to use, especially with an EZ-link card. Everything here is very modern and new, since the modern Singapore has evolved in only 3 decades. The city is very money oriented though and I hear the working life here is very stressful and competitive.
I'm not that psyched about Malaysia, I'll work my way up to Thailand quite fast. Hopefully meet Gaffar there:) As for
my dear dear friend Nura, we'll meet again
