VagaBabe has something she needs to vent about...
Mean mean mean! Daddy said people in Singapore were supposed to be nice. Well, not all of them are! You might think that I am exaggerating when I tell you this story. But, if you were there to see it for yourself, it was not a pretty site. Yesterday, me and my family went to Universal Studios. Universal Studios is a theme park. I went to see a Shrek show and when we headed into the theater, we found a row we thought we could sit in. Then one man cut in front of us and stepped on WanderMom's foot. Ouch! At least he said he was sorry. He made it so our family was not together. When my Dad was trying to reach for me, another woman came out of nowhere and cut in front of us again! She said excuse me! Me and my family knew that she needed to wait her turn and stop pushing us but she did not. She kept pushing and went passed us. We moved to another row to try to find some seats. When we sat down, I wanted to go home because I had never been in a situation like that. The show made me forget all about it. It was funny and very entertaining. When the show was done, I kept rehearsing in my head what I would say if that ever happened again. I would say "Excuse me, but I think you need to wait your turn. I was here first and I am trying to get into this row. So, please wait and stop pushing me". So now you know what I mean by mean, mean, mean.
WanderMom's side note: During our time in Singapore, we have noticed a cultural difference with regard to body space. There is more pushing, reaching, cutting, etc here than at home. Walking down the sidewalk is like a contact sport. There is no shifting to one side, so that another can pass. We could give you many, many example of our experiences being shoved out of the way so that someone could get through! These behaviors are not a reflection of the people per se, it is not done to be mean or disrespectful, it is just how it is here. We are trying to adjust!!

Sara VagaBabe, sometimes I have trouble remembering to stand firm and say those words too. Keep practicing!
