Hello from the beautiful country of Holland. The ten hour lay over so far is going quite well as me and another girl who is going to Israel met up and decided to go out and explore the central city of Amsterdam. I expected something crass and confusing, but Amsterdam during the day is actually quite beautiful! There are winding streets that remindes me of Salzburg, and shops and small alys that are reminicent of Venice. It is truly a beautitful European city.

I have also been enjoying the local brew of Amstel, in its birthplace. Don't worry, Elizabeth and I have not just been carelessly waisting my time in Amsterdam, but have been exploring the city and walking around people watching for a few hours. I am sitting in an internet cafe by the train station (which looks more like a cathedral and than anything else) and am about to go do some more exploring before heading back to the airport.
