So here it is...the beginning of my hopefully epic trip... I am in the Logan airport awaiting my plane to Amersterdam where all of the fun begins. As much as I wanted to pull my computer out and start typing I didnt want to have to hassel with taking it out of my bag and what not so I paid the three dollars to do this little internet kiosk where the keyboard is really weird and the connection is slow.
So, I spent the day feverishly packing as I left it all to today and yesterday, my usual MO, but everyone that I talked to seemed to be having a heart attack for me and say "oh my gosh!! That is so much packing to do, will you get it done?!!" I have to admit, at about 2 am last night I had my doubts, but alas, it all worked out for the best and I am well on my way to Tel Aviv. I don't know what I am going to do for the 10 hours that I am in Amsterdam for, but I might just go get a cup of coffee in the city and mark off Amsterdam as a place that I have visited. As much as my mother will yell at me (hi mom!) I have talked and researched and it seems fine.
Anyway, the last time I was in this terminal was when I went on my highschool trip to Europe. So much as changed since then, and yet this terminal is exactly the same. I must admit, I am excited not to have a bunch of 18 year olds around me on this trip. This is unguided and fun, no tour guide or someone to hold my passport and ticket, no group meeting point in the terminal, and no taking over half the plane and getting looks from all of the other passangers as they wish themselves to the other side of the aircraft.
No, this time I am a not even going to be in Europe for very long, and then it is hello Middle East.
My 10 minutes are almost up and I have a lot more to say, but I guess I will update you all in Amsterdam... here goes nothing :)
