Okay, so spent 5 nights in Hong Kong.........the most amazing place in the world!!!
We got off the plane and we knew it was going to be good, there were about 30 Aussie rugby players that had just got off a plane aswell. Me, Ami and Jess were so shell shocked we could barely speak. We couldn't believe our good luck. I was like....oooh lets go and make some new friends....Jess was like (quote of the day), forget friends, I've got enough friends....lets go get ourselves some husbands- it was pretty funny........
..........anyways.....got to our hostel eventually (called Hong Kong Hostel), had a little snooze and then went out for dinner and drinks to Lan Qwai Fong to meet Ami's friend Cally. They took us to this Russian bar called Balalika which had a vodka ice room. They kitted us out in fur coats which was pretty funny. Ended up getting back to the hostel at 6.30am- was a good night and we met some really cool people. Next day got up late and went on the Star Ferry across to Kowloon. Went to Temple Street Market which was wicked. Bought some little nick naks and had some amazing food. Watched the light and sound show from Kowloon across Hong Kong Island- it was beautiful and so busy. Next day me and Jess went to Ocean Park (Ami's been before). It was awesome. Saw some giant pandas and a dolphin and sea lion show. Loads of rides there. Went on a cable cart where I thought I was going to pass out- although it's got to be done!! Next day went on the Peak Tram to see the views by night. It was amazing!! We went up in the day and waited for it to get dark and took so incredible pictues, I've never seen anything like it. On our last day we went to the Space Museum (wednesday is free museum day- HK is much more expensive then we were used to). We went to the planetarium- it was awesome. In the evening we got dressed up and went to Happy Valley Racecourse where we placed some bets and actually won a bit of money (not enough to break even, but still). It was so busy there and I've never seen so many good looking people in one place before. Me and Jess were like, we're looking into working in Hong Kong when we get back.
Some of the best times in my life were spent in these 5 days. It was nice to go back having lived there for 3 years when I was younger- I can see why my Mum loves it so much!!!

Uncle Warwick Dear Nicola, Well done with your blog. It is lovely to see you having a lovely time out the Far East while you are able to and have the chance. You have to do this while you are young enough to enjoy it. But take care of yourself and please be careful. Lots of love, Uncle warwick xxx
