Well we think Singapore is the Disneyland of Cities.Since we haven't been to Dubai, we can't compare that city.It is clean, beautiful and well organized. It is also very expensive. We took the city tour from the ship which gave us a overall feeling of the city.I had made an appointment for my nails on the internet so after we left the tour, we took a taxi to the Raffels hotel in hopes to have lunch there. Time ran short and we were given the wrong directions to the nail salon, so we got on the underground and made our way towards the salon. It is in an underground mall. There are many in Singapore. They serve the high rises above them. When we got to the salon, it was fairly small, they had 3 techs. They sat me down and 2 girls took one hand each. I have to say that was a new experience. They did a fine job and I think I can make it home now as far as nails are concerned.
We took the underground back to the Raffels Hotel and had an early dinner.I ha fish head curry and Gary had chicken curry. It was very nice. The Raffels Hotel was build by the British and feels very colonial.Lots of character and class. We arrived back at the ship at 7:30pm, 1 hour before boarding time.If you are late you get dock time, which means you can't get off at the next port until you pay your designated dock time. I heard it is 3 hours for 15 minutes late.
Anyway, we highly recommend Singapore.
We also got the work we are going to Taiwan instead of Japan.

Noel Just got first posting (may have missed others because of heading appearance). Read over all your blog. Wish we were there seeing all the great ports you are visiting. Another trip to remember! Enjoy, stay healthy and safe.
Karen and Dave Friends who have visited Singapore also really enjoyed it. We have had some fun experiences with nail appointments!! Can't beat Alaska! Are you still going north to Shanghai?
