Lima... For me the whole experience here was to meet Jose's parents, Bruno and family. They tooked us in ad family and fed us the most incredible pisco sours and the Peruvian food, which I completely adore!!!
Lima is a really beautiful city with around 9million inhabitants, a powerful sea full of surfers and amazing cliffs with "in case of tsunami" signs!
The city centre has stunning colonial buildings which some remind me of the architecture in Madrid. Beautiful large plazas with incredibly rich churches. We walked through the pedestrian street full of shops shining a colorful mixture of buildings and people. We arrived to the palace and arrived just in time for the guard change. And I thought this was going to be short and boring!! When we got there the guard band was playing salsa!! This was going to be fun!! And they took their while playing a log of other famous Peruvian songs and then this main guard shouting a lot of stuff which I couldn't quite understand so, let's keep on walking!!
From here we went on our way to visit the Iglesia de San francisco to see las catacombs with around 7000 " dead people" inside! And also the second oldest and most important library of south america. Amazing art and architecture and I just loved the underground cemetery full of bones! Hehehe
And from here back home where la mama was preparing the one and only causa (don't know how to write but I'll put photos and some of you already know it! ;) and and some delicious fish with aji nham !!!
During the afternoon we went to visit the park which goes along the cliffs. Breathtaking views which ended with a visit to the parque de Los enamorados - a gaudi kind of style park with snake benches with colorful broken ceramic with the most imaginative poems. In the centre of the park a statue with 2 lovers kissing :) at the background a bridge covered by plastic due to the many passion suicides that occurred there!
Back at "home" it was time for pisco sour!!! Learned how to do it with Bruno but couldn't take them because I was taking Medicine to kill the Colombian bug that was living in me!! By the way, lost 3 kg and I'm back to having 50 kg... So my plan is to stuff myself with dulce de leche on the way till I get to Brazil where I intend to eat as a pig!!!

Completely sober we went out to the trendy barrio de Miraflores to the Écka bar where I was delighted with the smiths, joy division, daft punk, blur and family :)
