Woke up fresh and went to see the city of Cuzco. A beautiful colonial city with amazing little streets and a brown beige color that takes you in another world... We walked through the city centre and had a nice breakfast at Plaza de Armas looking at the cathedral :) then we decided to see how we are going to do to get to Machu Pichu. As we are in the rainy season the inca trails has been closed so we did the normal way: bus to Ollantaytambo and then train till Aguascalientes.
Got our train and machu pichu tickets and we went running home to pack a small bag and run to this small bus that would take us to the train. We left late and got stopped for a doc check by the policy which all together made us arrive 2mn late and wave our train goodbye !! So, got another ticket for the next train now with inka trail and here we go! Left at 16.30 with some rain that became lots of rain! At the end we took 9h to get to Aguascalientes in a journey that should have been of 1h30!! We couldn't pass because there were stones on the trail and we had to wait for then to clean up! Luckily we had food and they were giving us coca tea! At one point they let us leave the train and we could enjoy the night view of being in the middle of nothing beside an incredible strong and quick river!
Finally we arrived, got a cheap hostel, found the only bar which served food and went to sleep at1h to wake up at 5h.
