Santa Marta and Taganga!
4 h from Cartagena we got a cheap nice hostal in Santa Marta. A cozy fisherman's village, with small narrow streets and small houses and a nice blue bay :)
I think I've never eaten so healthy in my life! Fishe everyday with rice with cocunut, salad and the patacones (fried banana), fresh made juice every morning almost all the time with scrambled eggs and the famous arepa (corn bread). And lots of water and nice sun!
Santa Marta was nice, stayed there for one night and went to Taganga with a 15mn taxi ride shared with a really nice German girl (Simone) who stayed with us for the next days.
Taganga is smaller than Santa Marta and with a special vibe. Blue water bay and the best youth hostel I've been until now!! Beautiful views, nice room and bathroom, kitchen and a nice relaxed chill out area.
Here our group became bigger as we met Gabriel, an Argentinian guy we had met in Armenia, who had justalso met some other Argentinian girls and we all went toguether on a 20mn hiking to this other beach, Playa Grande for lunch. Nice from above, but full of people, restaurants and a dirty sand... but the way to there was nice! :)
Had a nice cheap lunch for 4eur with soup, fish and lemonade!
Back to see the sunset at Taganga before making some dinner at the hostal. Back with the Argentinian group we bought a nice bottle of rum and enjoyed the warm night at the beach.
Next morning... Parque Tayrona!!
