Uffff Rio... Difficult to describe the feeling of being here... A different vibe, people, architecture, food, smell and music from whatever I've seen...

We arrived yesterday and went to Lapa to a party hostel decorated with graffities and a great environment for 40 reais (around 16€) with "cafe da manha".
As my friend Xavi from Barcelona was arriving today to travel with us until the 4th, we decided it should be a shopping day and a quest for bikini day!! So, best and cheapest place to do it was right where we were in Lapa! Un sin fin of streets with market kind of shops and markets all around! We spent there the morning and in the afternoon we went to... Copacabana beach!!! Walking on the calcadao seeing the Brasilian bodies pass by and the mini bikinies that everyone has, including the guys with the mini shorts!! Samba and bossa nova as an always present background ... Viva Brasil!!

Back to Lapa to find a place to sleep (difficult when it's weekend and more when it's still carnaval!), we managed to get a 3 bed room with balcony and much better than the hostel, in a only Brasilian hotel!

Xavi arrived (ieiiiii the 1st to meet me on the way, come on lovely people!!) and we went for a beer and camarao com caitipury. Full, we went for a walk in the busiest night neighborhood full of bars, terraces, strange hotels with the sign "Hotel para solteiros" and some prostitutes walking around! Caipirinha and we followed the music to find the streets closed for the cars, people selling drinks on the street, bars and street full and a batucada with the best samba dancers I've seen until now!! Life, music and happiness all around... We just walked and enjoyed the ride :) amazing...
